Puerto Rico Wave Climate Atlas: Model Point Output
In order to provide 40 years of wave data at selected points through a user friendly web interface, time series data and graphical products are provided at CARICOOS buoy locations (buoy markers) and points along the 20-meter and 100-meter depth contours along the island of Puerto Rico and some locations in the US Virgin islands (expet the island of St. Croix). The following products are provided to users at each location:
Times series of bulk wave parameters (significant wave height, period and direction) from January 1 1979 to December 31 2018.
A directional wave rose plot from January 1 1979 to December 31 2018.
A MATLAB MAT-file with 40 years of bulk wave data (significant wave height, period and direction).
A MATLAB MAT-file with the most important wave energy parameters including: significant wave height Hs, peak wave period Tp, peak wave direction Dp, omnidirectional wave power J, and the energy wave period Te.
